Honey for allergies

Yes, honey works as a natural remedy for allergies to pollen and grasses in place of zyrtec, claritin, allegra and benadryl. There are a few key components to remember when using honey to help with allergies 1) It must be raw. Raw honey is usually easy to come by at a farmer’s market or at a local farm. You can check your city website for lists of farmer’s markets in your area. 2) It needs to be local. Usually, honey from the same state in which you reside is good. Or, it can be out of state honey, if the state where the honey is made has the same type of flowering trees and plants as your home state. Honey typically only works on pollen and grass allergies, it may not have as strong as an effect on food allergens. 3) Ingest raw honey, the way you would an antibiotic 2-3 times a day for 7 -10 days to notice an effect. *Never give honey to a baby under 12 months* Happy Spring!
